Who I Work With

I work with women who, on the surface, are managing. You may have built a career, maintained relationships, and kept going through difficult periods. But underneath, it can feel very different.

You might feel disconnected from yourself. Unsure of who you are or what you want. There can be a quiet sense that something isn’t right, even if you can’t quite explain why.

Often, I meet women who are tired of repeating the same patterns in relationships. Wanting closeness, but finding it hard to trust. Struggling to assert yourself. Overthinking what went wrong. Feeling stuck.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

What might be going on beneath the surface

I think these struggles often make sense when we look a little deeper.

Many of the women I work with have experienced some form of emotional neglect or disruption in early relationships. Not always obvious or dramatic, but enough to shape how you see yourself and others.

You may have learned to put other people first. To stay busy and avoid difficult feelings. To carry a sense of responsibility for keeping things going, even at your own expense.

Over time, this can lead to feeling disconnected from your own needs. It can affect your confidence, your boundaries, and your ability to feel safe and secure in relationships.

It’s not that something is wrong with you. It’s that these patterns made sense at the time.

The impact it can have

Living this way can feel exhausting.

You might notice a constant undercurrent of anxiety, or periods of low mood. You may spend a lot of time in your head, going over the past. There can be a sense of having wasted time in the wrong relationships, or wondering why things haven’t worked out as you’d hoped.

It can feel lonely. As though you’ve never really been able to share how things are for you.

And alongside that, there is often a real desire for something different. More ease. More connection. A sense of feeling at home in yourself.

What you might be looking for

Many of the women I work with aren’t looking for a quick fix. You may have tried therapy before and found it didn’t quite reach the depth of what you’re carrying.

You might also feel unsure about starting again. There can be a fear of being overwhelmed, or of opening things up that feel too much to hold. You may even wonder if therapy can really help.

All of this makes sense.

How I work

I offer a calm, steady space where you can be yourself. There’s no pressure to go anywhere you’re not ready to go.

We work together, at your pace. I bring a person-centred approach, alongside body-based and trauma-focused work, so we’re not only talking, but gently supporting your nervous system to feel safer.

I believe you already hold the capacity to heal. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of your experiences, and supporting you to move towards a life that feels more connected, more grounded, and more your own.
