Lifespan Integration Therapy

You might already have a good understanding of why you feel the way you do. Perhaps you’ve had talk therapy before, and it helped to a point. But something still feels unresolved. You may notice rumination, regret, or a sense of feeling stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift.

I often find this is because trauma doesn’t just live in the mind. It’s held in the body, too.

How Lifespan Integration works

Lifespan Integration is a gentle, body-based therapy that works with both mind and body. As a psychotherapist and counsellor, I use it to support healing from childhood wounds, attachment issues, and complex trauma, including CPTSD.

When something overwhelming happens and there isn’t enough support at the time, the experience doesn’t always get stored as something that is “over”. Instead, it can stay active in the nervous system, ready to be triggered. This can show up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or feeling like your reactions are stronger than you expect.

In Lifespan Integration, we gently work through a timeline of your life, helping your body begin to register that those experiences are in the past. I think of it as supporting your system to catch up with what your mind already knows.

What you might notice

As this process unfolds, clients often find they feel calmer and less reactive. The pull towards harmful coping mechanisms can soften. There can be less depression, less anxiety, and more space to respond rather than react.

You may also notice shifts in your relationships. Patterns linked to unhealthy relationships or low self-worth can begin to change, as your system no longer feels like it has to stay on high alert.

A gentle, collaborative approach

I work in a person centred therapy way, which means we go at your pace. There’s no pressure to revisit anything before you feel ready. Many people come to me worried that therapy will feel overwhelming, especially if past approaches haven’t helped. We take care of that together.

Alongside Lifespan Integration, I may draw on somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to support you in moving away from cycles of rumination and towards a more meaningful, grounded life.

Therapy with me

I offer online sessions and in-person therapy in East London. As a therapist, my approach is warm, steady, and collaborative. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll work together to help you feel more like yourself again.

If you’re ready to explore a different way of working – one that includes both mind and body – you’re very welcome to get in touch.
